I completely agree …
I completely agree with what he is pointing out. I suffered from manic depression and anxiety for a long time, and tried several different drugs, all of which did not work in the long run. I ended up trying the Paleo diet, and noticed that my energy level increased immensely, as well as my willingness to change myself and to overcome my issues. All I have to say is that nature knows best, and we can only hope to eventually know as much.

Read Explaining …
Read Explaining colours to a blind man. Not only will it enlighten many as to what living with a mental illness is like, it also gives comfort to those sufferers who think there is no hope and that they are alone. It is very informative, sometimes shocking but also very funny in parts. All in all, a good read and highly recommended.

DJ-I am only …
DJ-I am only speaking from personal experience. When I woke up out of ego-identification, the following emotional states virtually disappeared from my life: Self-consciousness, embarrassment, restlessness, boredom, loneliness, anger, resentment, entitlement, envy, depression, fear, sadness, pride, regret, guilt, sexual depravity, greed. What was gained?..: Peace of mind, forgiveness, unconditional love, respect, humility, faith and a connection to all living things which is beyond description.

I agree with this …
I agree with this general concept but am not qualified to say how prevalant this cause of depression is, but it’s probably understated. I am now trying to question my beliefs and thoughts and it is helping, but it takes more than just a passive thought of saying “Everything will be OK, that’s not true.” It takes consideragble effort, connecting the dots, filling in the gaps and not making simple, unfounded presumptions, such as “B because of A”. Because my parents are this way, I am going to.

Most people are …
Most people are depressed because they feel vindicated in being so. It justifies a passive attitude. It is an infantile reaction to what they perceive as injustices perpetrated upon them. They have a picture in their mind (delusion) that, if not met, they “vow” to be depressed. This inclination is born in childhood and is rarely meaningfully reversed. They have become prisoners of their own mind-chatter that has convinced them that nothing is right and everything is wrong. QUESTION YOUR BELIEFS.

Once again loarax, …
Once again loarax, fantastic video. You really do know your stuff and have clearly given a lot of thought to the really important topics which you have covered. What’s more in western society we are increasingly becoming isolated and reliant on money as a means to be allowed to congregate, which then reinforces financial pressures and unease.
Many thanks for your videos, they truly are helpful.

i recovered fully …
i recovered fully from depression & panic attacks by excercise, our modern lives so often throw us into to fight or flight mode and yet we invariably repress these natural feelings because of social attitudes which expect you to show no anger, weakness or sadness etc. so our physiology is constantly loaded and in tension, we forget how to relax. excericse teaches the body to relax through neccesity, you cant help but relax, after sport, sex etc.
