It comes down to this: Each “representative” that voted to pass Cap and Trade has violated their Congressional Oath of Office to “well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office.” How on earth can you–in good faith–fulfill the duties of the office by voting to pass 1500 pages of legislation YOU HAVEN’T READ?!
So here’s my own personal Oath: I do hereby solemnly swear to remove from office every representative who thinks it’s ok to pass 1500 pages of ill-conceived legislation without knowing what’s in it.
Seriously. The gloves are coming off. Who’s with me?

Ayn Rand was a …
Ayn Rand was a lousy writer, and her puerile “philosophy”, if it can be called that, is no more sophisticated than a plot in Marvel Comics. She was also an emotional autistic, with the compassion of an 8 year old pulling wings off a bug. Just read her pathetic sex and seduction scenes- she managed to be both lurid and sterile at the same time. Bet you haven’t really read Thomas Paine either.

( incidentally,.. …
( incidentally,.. the use of any rand novel to make this point falls short.. i wouldn’t blame anyone for not reading that mess.. all the rand i have read was a disturbing exercise in the religion of selfishness.. it is little more than for the illegitimate accumulators of capital. )

cap and trade sure …
cap and trade sure does suck,… however.. the public can only be ‘shut out’.. if the public is as deeply propagandized as this one.. better public involvement would be the general population enforcing their own ‘cap and CAP’ system.. organizing to seek out their own LOCAL polluters and doing whatever it takes to shut them down.. DIRECTLY, and independent of legislative circle-jerking of whatever flavor.

You have got to be …
You have got to be kidding.
Everyone knows already that Al Gore is a liar and carbon, caused global warming is the biggest fraud. Scientists are mostly banding together against this fake global warming lie.
Yes the planet is warming and did you know, the other planets in our solar system are warming to? I bet you didn’t do you research. Don’t you know you can’t trust politicians and main stream media? Come on get with it. Our sun has cycles, now go do some research and stop believing lies.

I think you need to get a clue. It does NOTHING to curb climate change! And Al Gore is a lying sack of shit!
January 22nd, 2010 at 3:26 pm
Power companies …
Power companies have been working to reduce emissions for some time without the governments “help”
This bill is nothing more than punishment for daring to use coal for electricity. Why should the companies even blink at it? They will just pass on the cost to US! Now JerinWoW will be paying a of a lot more for his electricity. Maybe this will push you into solar panels! Do you know how much they are? It hurts, not helps!

Shelly, I think …
Shelly, I think you should watch the Inconvenient Truth or any movies that involves big waves crushing cities and you’ll know that Cap and Trade is needed to curb climate change. This is what Al Gore would say btw.

Yeah, we’ve got …
Yeah, we’ve got them right where we want ‘em, deeper in OUR WALLET! Bad plan…tell me about how nice and green things are next year when most of us are forced to live outdoors from this and other silliness the government wants us to believe is in our best interest!
January 22nd, 2010 at 3:26 pm
I applaud you for …
I applaud you for calling out the Reps for their lack of diligence. As one Mark Pryor, senator from Arkansas, said: “You don’t have to pass an IQ test to be in the Senate”.
Fair guess that there isn’t one to get into the house either.
That said, I’m ecstatic that cap and trade is moving along. Anything that will force (even if its a broken shadow of the ambitious bill it once was) companies to lower, or at least pay, for their carbon output is a step in the right direction.
January 22nd, 2010 at 3:26 pm
You should get a …
You should get a clue! We have not had a free market in the country for decades. In fact, the government actively DISCOURAGES a lot of “green” development. Nuclear development, for example, is punished and held back even though it is more “green” than many other methods of generating energy. The government is no longer there to help the people or the planet, just the special interest groups, a FREE MARKET would put an end to that.
