I mean think you are killing yourself you are putting yourself in a situation that you KNOW you will die because you can't imagine the pain of losing that person and when you see they're in danger that feeling comes in and you take your life to prevent it.

If you take your own life to prevent the harming of others that is called sacrifice. It's what Jesus did for all of us, if you believe in Him anyways.
Allowing your own life to be taken so that others might live is, I think, considered the most noble selfless thing a person can do.
So no, I don't believe that makes it a sin.
