jan 1971, i was in the 8th grade, at kennedy jr high school in waltham mass. to my friend tommy donlon, tommy got hit by a car on 24july1972. tommy died that day we were 14.when this song came out we were in the 8th grade.when i hear this song, i remember right after he died,i use to sing this song to myself, its impossible.only because i could not see him anymore, i miss him so much.14 was too young, yet i knew the good die young, when god picked him for a friend.still miss you alot.love peter.
