Very interesting article. My friend was recently diagnosed with bipolar disorder. I know she is going through some tough times and is taking time off from work until she finds the right combination of medication for her. I'm very glad she has accepted treatment. I've been trying to understand what it is like to have this disorder and came across a memoir called "bipolar bare". Wow...it really opened my eyes to the extreme high and lows.

I have an aunt who is bi-polar. It was years before she was properly diagnosed. She's doing much better now that she's being treated. This is really sound advice for people who are going through this and don't know what to look for. Great article.
