Question by : joining the navy w/ history of depression, anxiety and add?
I was on antidepressants a few years ago for less than a year. My doctor said that he has diagnosed me with “ADD versus anxiety” a few months ago, and he prescribed me some meds, but I know I don’t REALLY need them (and I think the anxiety part is bs, I just sometimes have trouble concentrating in school).
I’m getting conflicting information on this being a problem or no for joining? I know I’ll probably need waivers, and I’ll have to be off of the meds for at least a year first, but is it a likely possibility anymore?

You have to be off of the meds for at least one year. That means one year from the last prescription not just not taking the meds. Your best bet would be to speak with a recruiter.
