suicide in teens happens way to often and the signs are often overlooked. Many times parents and friends of a suicidal teen will not see these signs because the do not know how devastating depression can be for a teen. Reach out and make a difference in a child’s life………talk to them and tell them that you are there for them. If you suspect that your friend or child is depressed get them good help from a professional, it might just save their life. But most importantly listen to them with your heart and mind.

In “Lilja 4-ever” (Lukas Moodysson, 2002), a young girl (Oksana Akinshina) living in a deprived area of the former Soviet Union is abandoned by her mother (Lyubov Agapova) who is moving to the USA with her boyfriend. Lilja is forced to live by herself in a very poor apartment. Together with her friend Natasha (Elina Benenson) she starts prostituting herself in a nightclub for extra cash and later is deceived by her new boyfriend Andrei (Pavel Ponomaryov) who makes her travel into Sweden, where she is forced to work as a prostitute and imprisoned in a nearly empty apartment. One day she finds her entrance door open and escapes but then has to realize that in her situation all roads are blocked, and a return to normal life is no longer possible
