Wow. That’s harsh. I hope that’s not true. No one should ever feel that suicide is the only way out. That makes me

* Get a hobby/job or a new one (or even a pet too)- if you put your time into other things, you then don’t have much time to mope around. This activity will act like an "escape" from the rest of the world.
* Express your emotions- By either singing it in a song, playing it on a instrument, writing a story, writing a poem, drawing a picture, etc. Not only is it an escape from reality, it helps you cope with the issue and allows you to express yourself, which doesn’t cause you to bottle up your emotions.
* Change environments- In order to alter and/or change your behavior, you must do the same to your environment. This includes moving away to a new place (residential or just a place where you sit on the bus normally), making new friends and distancing yourself from your friends (if they influence you to become depressed, sad, mad, etc). If your family or anyone else causes you negative feelings, then move yourself away from them. If you don’t get rid of them, they can worsen the problem/pain and continue it to occur. (I learned this from my college level psychology class a few weeks ago).
This video is a response to four (EDIT: FIVE) recent teen suicsuicides by train at a rail crossing in Palo Alto, CA.

There’s a self destruct button in us all… some people find it, and use it. Darwin always wins.
According to a study by Dr. Jeff Bridge of Nationwide Children’s Hospital, teen suicsuicide rates saw a sharp increase in 2004 and 2005. This increase corresponds to a decrease in the prescription of antidepressants during this same time period. With increasing rates of teen suicide, educating yourself about the warning signs of depression is more important than ever.

I’m a teen who struggled with depression and suicidal thoughts and now I really want to help prevent teens from committing suicide. I want to actively do something, not just donate money to charities. What do you think is the best way for someone of my age to help the cause?
Firstly how nice that you want to help other teens its very refreshing to see a kind hearted teen.
I think start with your local charity groups who deal with suicide in your area, they will lead you down the right path.
Good luck to you and your new charity.
I am doing a Senior English project on teen suicsuicide and I need some ideas for some music videos. I have a couple but I need songs that have official music videos to them. A lot of the songs I know dont have them. Please give me a list of songs. It doesnt matter what genre. More variety the better! Thanks!

Gun Control generally reduces gun crime, the proof of this is in Australia.

Since the gun buyback in Australia, the rates of gun crime generally have been falling and in 2008 we had just 31 people die of firearm related causes for the whole country.

The reason why such measures wouldn’t work in the United States is because of the Second Amendment, but I ask is 12,000 people dead and 796,000 injured a year an acceptable price to pay for so called "freedom"?
I’ll stay in Australia thanks, where we exchanged a little liberty for common sense and a hell of a lot more safety and security. Our country started with a vote, not a war – we’re therefore far more democratic than you are.
